NALCAB opens access to capital by assisting in the preparation of grant applications, coordinating collaborative applications among members, providing bi-monthly funding opportunity e-mail updates and by making connections to funders and investors both individually and through convenings.

NALCAB recognizes that pass-through grants are an essential aspect of a well-rounded and successful capacity building effort.  Subgrant funds provide a significant incentive for nonprofits to engage fully in a technical assistance relationship with NALCAB.

NALCAB anticipates that, in some cases, these grants will build on a previous NALCAB investment of technical assistance and/or grant making. A significant focus of NALCAB’s technical assistance efforts with subgrantees is to support their efforts to leverage the funding for securing new sources. NALCAB manages grants in accordance with a written grant management procedure.
