There is a growing crisis related to next-generation leadership and leadership transition among its member organizations - an issue mirrored throughout the nonprofit sector. NALCAB is addressing the need for next-generation leadership by:
- Developing a formal national network of next generation Latino leaders in community development/ asset building;
- Providing training to these next generation leaders;
- Helping to match capable Latino asset builders currently in the workforce with positions available with member organizations; and
- Creating internship opportunities for college students and fellowship opportunities for post-graduates who are interested in becoming asset building practitioners.

Colegio Fellowship Program
The NALCAB Colegio: a fellowship for leaders in community and economic development is a premiere fellowship program developed to address the pressing need to train executive leaders for nonprofit community development and asset building organizations.

Professional Development
NALCAB provides unique training opportunities, facilitates access to industry-leading training and supports the delivery of unique culturally relevant curriculum developed by members all in response to the expressed needs of our member organizations and the communities they serve.
Community Development Internship
NALCAB's internship opportunities provide college seniors and graduate students with their first exposure to the community development and asset building industries, shaping future careers toward public service. NALCAB provides interns with a minimum paid ten week work experience that includes specialized onsite trainings in industry related topics such as affordable housing, asset building and small business development.
